Jonathan Law High School's Football Coach Resigns
The head football coach had received accolades in 2014 for his work with the squad.
Jonathan Law Head Football Coach Derrick Lewis resigned after two years as the school’s head coach compiling a record of 6-15, reports GameTimeCT.com.
Lewis, who is a minister at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bridgeport, compiled a one win season this year, but was named coach of the year in 2014 for leading Law to a record of 5-6.
Lewis said he made the decision to resign citing family and career opportunities, reports GameTimeCT.com.

Lewis also told the high schools sports website that he may be looking to coach at the collegiate level and possibly Southern Connecticut State University.
