Jonathan Law Student Athletes Earn Scholarships and Awards

Over 200 senior athletes, coaches and parents attended the annual Senior Sports Awards Banquet at Costa Azzurra.

MILFORD, CT — Over 200 senior athletes, coaches and parents attended the annual Senior Sports Awards Banquet at Costa Azzurra on May 23rd hosted by the Jonathan Law High School Sports Booster Club and Athletic Department.

The Booster Club presented scholarships and awards at the celebration. Three graduating senior athletes that exemplify dedication, commitment and spirit both on and off the field were each awarded $750 scholarships. Congratulations to Cassandra Soda, attending University of New Haven, and James Boyle and Bobby Fisk with plans to attend UCONN this fall.

The Lawmen Award was awarded to senior athletes who successfully completed 12 seasons of athletics. The 2018 awardees are: Holly Caldwell, Irmina Chrzastek, Cole Egersheim, Colleen Goodwin, Matt Marino, Molly Mercaldo, Dominika Michnik, Stella Patrick , Andrew Paulus, Dean Pettway, Alex Pratcher, Salma Samih, Cassandra Soda and Shawna Winters.

Athletic Director V.J. Sarullo presented the awards for sportsmanship and outstanding athletes. Dillon LaRoche received the Sportsmanship Award and Jack Pincus-Coyle and Shawna Winters were the recipients of Most Outstanding Student Athlete.
