Joseph R. Gullo, died peacefully at his home on August 22nd, 2024. Joe fought kidney disease and heart disease for many years. Beloved husband of Diane Gullo.
Joe was born in White Plains, NY January 5, 1934, to his parents, Anthony and Frances. He loved telling stories about growing up there and running to the bakery on Sunday mornings for bread dough which his mother would use to make pasta for Sunday dinner -- always at 2:00 pm.
Joe attended Battle Hill School and White Plains High School. He graduated Iona College in New Rochelle, NY with a degree in Engineering. After college, he joined the Army Engineers during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany during the occupation.
Through a few twists of fate, Joe always landed a job that involved insurance claims. His successful insurance career took him to positions in General Foods, Richardson-Vicks, Duracell Corporation and several brokerage firms. Then in his 70’s he opened a Consulting Firm in Norwalk, CT with his two friends, Chris Mulhall and Bob MacGuffie. Joe finally retired when he was 80, but kept his Consulting License just in case.
