MILFORD - The Junior Woman's Club of Milford had the honor of presenting the Respect Ambassador award to 30 students from Milford Public Schools and St. Mary's School on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

When the classroom Respect Star process begins, students in each classroom are directed to choose one peer in their class who demonstrates the following:

  • Has self-respect
  • Cares for the environment and living things
  • Is polite, courteous and fair
  • Respects the dignity and worth of others
  • Fulfills obligations and commitments
  • Shows respect for the value of learning
  • Tells the truth and acts with integrity
  • Knows the difference between right and wrong
  • Shows respect for others' property
  • Respects the opinions and feelings of others

There are over 200 Respect Stars representing classrooms across the Milford elementary and middle schools and St. Mary School. From there, each elementary school selected two Respect Ambassadors and each middle school selected three Respect Ambassadors to represent his or her school.
