Karen L. Rapuano, 64, of Milford, passed away on September 8, 2024.

Known for her generosity, she had a heart for helping those less fortunate, both people and animals, and enjoyed hosting family gatherings..

Karen L. Rapuano, 64, of Milford, beloved wife of Paul Wypychoski, passed away on September 8, 2024. Born on May 27, 1960, in North Haven, she was the daughter of the late George and MaryLee Rapuano.
Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dog mom who adored spoiling her granddaughters with gifts and who never missed an opportunity to bring her dogs home a new toy. Known for her generosity, she had a heart for helping those less fortunate, both people and animals, and enjoyed hosting family gatherings with an abundance of food.
A woman of many passions, she loved home decorating, fashion, gardening, and binge-watching her favorite TV series. An avid fan of Outlander, Karen lived out her dream in May when she traveled to Scotland to take a tour of the filming sites. With her friendly spirit, Karen could always strike up a conversation with anyone.
Karen served as President of the family business, Raps Plumbing and Heating, for 28 years. In retirement, she planned to volunteer at an animal shelter.
Along with her husband, Karen leaves behind her children, Alyssa, Daniel, and Matthew Wypychoski; grandchildren, Vanessa and Adrianna Wypychoski; brothers, Stephen (Shirley) Rapuano and Thomas Rapuano; siblings-in-law, David (Margaret) Wypychoski, Edward (Andrew Graham) Wypychoski, Camilla Hodge, John Wypychoski, and James Wypychoski; her fur-babies, Ace and Gia; and many extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mailed to the Milford Animal Shelter. Please make checks out to Milford Animal Control and mailed to 664 East Broadway, Milford, CT 06460.
