Lillian Stiewing, 95, of Milford, beloved wife of the late George Stiewing, passed away on November 18, 2024. Born on June 17th, 1929, at Milford Hospital in Milford, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Gladys Goad.
Lillian was raised in her hometown of Milford, Ct, as the oldest of seven children. There she attended local schools, including Devon Grammar in Milford and
Bullard-Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport. The seamstress training she received attending Bullard-Havens was a skill she carried with her throughout her life, contributing a valuable service to her community by creating and repairing clothing for friends and neighbors from the comfort of her own home.
At the age of eighteen, Lillian met the love of her life, George, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and devotion. They were married and raised three sons, creating a home that was warm, loving, and welcoming. Their bond was so strong that they affectionately referred to each other as "Archie" and "Edith," just like the iconic TV couple, always finding joy in each other's company and in the life they built together.

Lillian's greatest pride and joy was being a mother and homemaker. She was the heart of her family, and her nurturing spirit extended beyond her children. She was an exceptional baker, often making treats for family and friends, and her garden was a testament to her love of nature and the outdoors. Her passion for walking was a part of her daily routine—whether rain or snow, she could be seen taking a walk through her beloved community, staying active and enjoying the fresh air.
An avid driver, Lillian found joy in the freedom that came with the open road, and she was known for her bargain hunting, always finding treasures at the Dollar Store to bring home. Her home reflected her meticulous nature—organized, inviting, and a true sanctuary for her family and friends.
