Obituary: Lina Castiello, 95, Of Milford
Lina and Mario loved their home in Milford and enjoyed their garden and the flowers around their yard.
Pasqualina Castiello, 95, of Milford, adored wife of the late Mario Castiello, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025. Born on December 24, 1929, in Calvi, Province of Benevento, Italy.
Lina and Mario were married in Italy. They both earned their certificates in tailoring there. Lina was also a co-owner of Da Vinci Pizzeria in Milford, Connecticut. Lina enjoyed crocheting and made various items, including blankets, shawls, hats, and more. Lina and Mario loved their home in Milford and enjoyed their garden and the flowers around their yard. Lina had a strong Catholic faith. She had sacramental bread delivered to her home by Aurelia Michelson from her parish. She often watched Pope Francis and Vatican News on YouTube, in addition to her Italian cooking shows. She sang in a church choir while living in Italy and would still often be heard singing Italian and Catholic songs. As in the song she loved so dearly, "Time to Say Goodbye (Con te partirò)," we bid farewell to a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Lina is survived by her son, Vincent Castiello; daughter-in-law, Dale Zaczkowski; grandchildren, Mario, Vincent, and Gianni Castiello; soon-to-be granddaughter-in-law Lianna; and her extended family and friends.
