Louise was known for her deep faith, joy for travel, and most of all her love for her family.

Louise Paylun Goorhigian, 97 of Milford CT, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, while surrounded by her loving family. Louise was born on March 9, 1928 in Bridgeport, CT, to the late Albert Zarifian and Sophie (Serpoohie) Zarifian. She was the beloved wife of 62 years to Martin Goorhigian.
Louise was a proud graduate of Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where she was an active member of the softball team and glee club. She remained closely connected to her classmates and attended many reunions over the years. In 1964, she and her beloved husband Martin settled in Milford, where they built a loving home together. She worked as a hairdresser at Howland’s Department Store and made the best deli sandwiches at Joe’s Lunch Box. She retired from Sikorsky Aircraft as a clerical assistant for the engineering department.
Louise had a deep and unwavering faith in God. She was a member of the Holy Ascension Armenian Church in Trumbull, where she joyfully sang in the choir. She and Martin shared a love for travel, exploring the world together with memorable trips across Europe and to Armenia. Louise also found joy in life’s simple pleasures—shopping and coffee dates with her dear friends always brought her happiness.
