Paul Andrew Lofgren, Sr. Obituary

In Loving Memory of Paul Lofgren
September 4, 1956 – May 9, 2025
Paul (Pauly)Lofgren, a devoted husband, father, Papa and friend, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on May 9, 2025, at the age of 68.
Born and raised in Milford, Connecticut, Paul was the son of the late Laurie and Richard Lofgren. He carried with him the values and memories of his upbringing throughout his life, and he remained deeply connected to his roots.
Pauly had a passion for the simple joys in life. He was a devoted fan of the Beatles and the UConn Huskies Men’s basketball team. He was an avid fisherman, loved cooking and music of all genres.
Mostly, he treasured family trips to our beloved Goose Pond in Canaan, NH where he was able to share the beauty and peacefulness of this special place with his grandchildren, who brought endless joy and pride into his life.
Prior to his retirement, Pauly worked as a Project Manager for several high end Residential and Commercial Construction Companies.
He lived with kindness, humor, and a gentle strength that touched everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.
In the words of a favorite Beatles song that meant so much to him:
“There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed.
Some forever not for better, some have gone and some remain.
All these places had their moments, with lovers and friends I still can recall.
Some are dead and some are living. In my life, I loved them all.
In my life, I love you more.”
Now he’s FREE AS A BIRD
Pauly is survived by his loving wife, Lynne Lofgren; his children, Erika Lofgren Bujara (Doug) , Heather TumSuden (Justin), and PJ Lofgren (Tyna); and his five cherished grandchildren, Izelle Bujara, Leo Bujara, Chase TumSuden, Niles Bujara and Emmy TumSuden. He is also survived by his brother, Norman Lofgren, and sister, Elizabeth King, his best buddies Chris Peet (Susie) and Harold Streit ( Vicki) and many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Hilde Lofgren and his best friend since early childhood, Peter Nurse.
Pauly will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Pauly’s life will be announced at a later date. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Ave., Milford is honored to assist Paul's Family.
Donations may be made to the Milford Senior Center or the Milford Audubon Society in his memory.
