Man Accidentally Fired Gun In Home; Bullet Strikes Neighbor's Home, Milford Police Say

The man is facing three charges in the case, according to police.

MILFORD, CT — A man was arrested after police said he accidentally fired a gun in his home.

Police responded to a call July 23 reporting damage to a home on Mayflower Place.

Police investigated and later arrested a man who is accused of accidentally firing a gun inside his house. The bullet ultimately entered a neighbor's home, according to police.

The 27-year-0ld man was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, second-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree criminal mischief.

He was released on a promise to appear in court Aug. 18.
