Man Broke Into Gas Station, Stole $4,500 Worth Of Merchandise, Milford Police Say

A man is facing charges after police say he burglarized a gas station and stole items.

MILFORD, CT — A man is facing charges after police said he broke into a gas station and stole $4,500 worth of merchandise.

Michael Spangler, 48, homeless, was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, and first-degree criminal mischief.

Police took custody of Spangler on an arrest warrant March 12.

Police said he is accused of breaking a glass door to gain entry to a Citgo gas station at 222 Broad Street in January. Spangler then stole $4,500 worth of merchandise from the store.
