Man Broke Into Milford Home, Caused Significant Damage: Police
Milford police say the man initially tried to flee the scene.

MILFORD, CT — A Naugatuck man is accused of breaking into an unoccupied home in Milford and causing significant damage to the residence, Milford police said.
Police said on Nov. 6 officers responded to a residential alarm at a North Street residence. Upon arrival officers observed a broken window and could hear footsteps in the yard, police said.
Officers then observed Kim Bratt, 49, of Rubber Avenue in Naugatuck, attempting to flee the scene, and ordered him to the ground, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Bratt, who is accused of breaking into the unoccupied house and causing a large amount of damage, police said.
He is charged with first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, and interfering with an arrest.

He was released on a $5,000 bond and given a court date of Nov. 29.
