Man Burglarized Eatery In Milford: Police

The burglary took place during the overnight hours earlier this year, according to police.

MILFORD, CT — An Ansonia man is accused of burglarizing Amici’s Café in Milford earlier this year, according to police. The burglary took place during the overnight hours on Jan. 22 at the café, located at 784 Boston Post Rd.

The suspect, later identified as Joseph Marino, broke in through the front door and stole several items, including cash from the register, according to police. An arrest warrant was issued for Marino following an investigation.

Marino, 48, of Colony Street in Ansonia, was taken into custody by Milford police on March 9. He was being held on other charges when the warrant was served at Milford Superior Court, according to police.

Marino was charged with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny and third-degree criminal mischief. He was held on a $2,500 bond.
