Man Buys Veteran Baked Goods for Life from Scratch Baking in Milford: Report
The two families met at the bakery for an uplifting Veterans Day story.

MILFORD, CT — Scratch Baking is well-known for its excellent baked goods and now it's also known as the location for a great uplifting story involving a veteran.
Joseph Scaretta of Trumbull, agreed to pay for Vietnam veteran John Antignano to receive free baked goods from Scratch Baking, 58 River St., the rest of his life, the New Haven Register reports.
Antignano, of Trumbull, shops there a few days a week. Scaretta said he hopes his small gesture will help others do something similar. He told the Register his grandfather served in World War II and he has an immense appreciation for all veterans.

Scratch Baking owner Lesli Flick told the Register "it's just nice to see human kindness, especially these days."
Antignano worked in Milford at the court house and has long been a fan of the baked goods at Scratch Baking.
