Man Charged In Domestic Violence Assault: Milford Police
A man has been charged on allegations that he tried to suffocate a victim and threatened her with a knife, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A Meriden man is accused of assaulting a victim in front of her toddler in Milford, according to police.
Milford police took the man into custody on two arrest warrants for separate incidents.
The 23-year-old man is accused of throwing a woman to the floor by her hair, choking her, and trying to suffocate her, police said. The victim's child was present during one incident.

The man is also accused of throwing water at the child and throwing the child onto the couch.
He threatened the victim with a knife in one of the incidents as well, police said.

The man was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of strangulation, two counts of second-degree threatening, two counts of unlawful restraint, and risk of injury.
Bond was set at $175,000. He was scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on Monday.
