MILFORD, CT — A driver accused of striking a Pond Point Avenue home while driving drunk has been arrested, according to police. Michael Murray, 62, of Milford, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive right.

On Nov. 18, a car struck a Pont Point Avenue home, knocking the building off the foundation and causing extensive damage, police said. Murray was transported to the hospital where he received treatment.

Police investigated and said they found that Murray was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Murray turned himself in to police Saturday on a warrant for his arrest.

He posted $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on Feb. 13.

The owners of the home have been displaced since the crash. They said that a vehicle crashed on their property three times before and demanded that the city resolve the problem.

The house sits at an intersection between Yale Avenue and Pond Point Avenue. In each of the crashes, the drivers came down Yale Avenue and went through a stop sign.
