Man Drove Toward Cruiser During Chase, Crashed Into Woods: Milford Police
Police said they found a facsimile gun and a black balaclava face covering in the man's BMW.

MILFORD, CT — A man started by doing burnouts in front of an officer, then drove the wrong way toward a police cruiser, sped away after his tires deflated, and ended up in the woods, according to police.
Police were assisting a disabled vehicle near Boston Post Road and Homes Acres Avenue on Nov. 28 at 2:40 a.m. when a silver BMW with no license plate stopped in front of them and started doing burnouts.
Police tried to stop the car but it drove away.

An officer in an unmarked car found the BMW and followed from a short distance. The BMW's driver then reversed down the road, drove in circles, and went the wrong way on Gulf Street toward a marked police cruiser.
Officers put out stop sticks and deflated the car's tires at Gulf Street and New Haven Avenue. The car then sped toward Cherry Street, crossed through the intersection, and went into the woods at Cherry Street and Buick Avenue.

Police provided medical aid to the driver, Bryan Ramos, 20, of Waterbury. Firefighters responded and took Ramos to the hospital.
Police searched the BMW and found a black plastic Glock handgun case in the trunk. Inside was a facsimile Glock 17 paintball gun and a black balaclava face covering. Police found that the facsimile gun was a training pistol that fires .43-caliber paintballs and had a CO2 cartridge with eight paintballs loaded in the magazine.
Police issued a warrant for Ramos' arrest. He turned himself in Wednesday.
Ramos was charged with weapons in a motor vehicle, failure to wear seat belt, unregistered motor vehicle, operating under suspension, failure to insure vehicle, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, unsafe backing, disobeying the signal of an officer, unsafe movement, failure to display plates, speeding, and failure to drive right.
He was released on $5,000 bond and is set to appear in Milford Superior Court on Feb. 25.
