Man Helping Disabled Semi Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash
State police said the man was standing on the right shoulder of Interstate 95 near Milford when he was struck by an unknown driver.
MILFORD, CT — A man was seriously injured early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 95 in Milford.
According to Connecticut State Police, the crash happened shortly after 2 a.m. on southbound I-95 near exit 34. Police said a white Hyundai Genesis was traveling in the right lane when it veered into the right shoulder, striking a 61-year-old Killingworth man who was assisting a disabled tractor-trailer.
The man was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. His current condition is unknown.

Police said the driver of the Hyundai fled the scene following the collision. According to authorities, the vehicle is likely to have damage to the front end on the right-hand side.
