Man Left 3 Young Children Alone In Car While Shopping At CT Post Mall: Milford Police

One child was just 22 months-old, police said.

MILFORD, CT — Milford police say a Trumbull man left three young children alone inside a locked running vehicle while he shopped at the Connecticut Post Mall, 1201 Boston Post Road.

On July 8, officers responded to the mall's parking lot on a report of unsupervised children in a car, police said. Investigation led to the arrest of Devon Brown, 22, of Horseshoe Drive, who left three children ages, 10, 6 and 22 months alone in a locked running vehicle for about 20 minutes while inside the mall, police said.

Further investigation showed Brown had two active warrants for his arrested stemming out of Trumbull for motor vehicle arrests, police said.

He is charged with leaving a child under 12 unsupervised and two counts of second-degree failure to appear in court. He was issued a $1,500 bond.
