Man Stole Jewelry From Milford Home While Girlfriend Babysat: Police

Police say the accused visited his girlfriend who was babysitting at the time. Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry was stolen, cops said.

MILFORD, CT — A West Hartford man is accused of swiping more than $3,800 worth of jewelry from a home in Milford where his girlfriend was babysitting at the time, police said.

On May 24 officers took custody of Brenden Ekwall, 28, of Montclair Drive in West Hartford, on an active arrest warrant. Ekwall is accused of taking $3,850 worth of jewelry in February 2017 from a Milford residence when visiting a girlfriend who was babysitting at the home, police said.

Ekwall is charged with third-degree larceny and released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on June 20.
