Martin “Marty” S. Lippman passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024.
Marty was not only a skilled engineer but also a visionary and a leader in various organizations.

Martin “Marty” S. Lippman, 90, of Milford, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024. Born on September 11, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Harry and Tillie (Heitner) Lippman.
Marty graduated from the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School and from City College of New York with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1956. His passion for engineering led him to become a licensed engineer in both New York and Connecticut, where he made significant contributions to infrastructure and development projects throughout his career. He retired from Norden Systems where he was a mechanical and systems engineer.
Marty was not only a skilled engineer but also a visionary and a leader in various organizations. He served as the president of The PC Users Group of Connecticut, where he fostered a vibrant community of technology enthusiasts. As a former president of the Walnut Beach Condo Association, Marty’s leadership and advocacy paved the way for positive changes and enhanced the quality of life for residents. Additionally, he dedicated his time and expertise as the Secretary of the Massenet Society, American Branch, contributing to the preservation and promotion of classical music. Marty shared his love of opera on a weekly program at WMNR radio and donated his extensive collection of opera and classical music records and CDs to the University of North Texas. Marty will be remembered by all who knew him.

Marty is survived by many cousins including Elizabeth Heitner, Kathleen Rhind, Julie Jacobs, and Jeffrey Jacobs.
Friends and family may call from 4 PM – 7 PM on Wednesday, May 29, at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT. A Funeral Service will begin at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
