Megan Gnidula

1973-2024

Megan McGarry Gnidula, 51, of Stratford, passed away on June 23, 2024. Born on April 6, 1973, on her Father’s 30th birthday in Allentown PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Quinn McGarry.

Meg moved to the Salem Willows in Massachusetts as a child. She attended St. John’s School, Peabody, and Bishop Fenwick High School. She later graduated from Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing following her Mother’s footsteps.

After graduating, she embarked on a career marked by compassion and dedication. Meg’s nursing journey led her to roles as a nurse at NYU, pediatric ICU nurse at Yale Hospital, and later as a specialist in cardiac catheterization at Yale. Her exceptional care and commitment were honored when she was named Nurse of the Year at Yale Hospital in 2007, one of her proudest achievements.

Outside of her professional life, Meg cherished spending time at the beach, creating art through painting and drawing, and traveling. One of her most memorable adventures was a solo trip to Italy and Greece to celebrate her fiftieth birthday. Known for her infectious sense of humor and love of laughter, Meg brought joy to everyone around her.

Above all, Meg was immensely proud of her three boys and found great joy in their accomplishments and the moments they shared together, especially enjoying looking at photographs that captured their fondest memories.
