Michelle Millard, 59 of Milford, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, while surrounded by her loving family. Michelle was born on November 30, 1965, in Little Falls, NY, to Sharon Viscusie Millard and the late Thomas Millard. She was the beloved wife of over 40 years to Kathleen Hilley.

Michelle was raised in a military family, experiencing frequent moves and travels throughout her childhood. Her brother was her first friend, a bond that remained strong throughout their lives. As a young woman, Michelle met the love of her life, Kathleen, while they were working together. They quickly fell head over heels and, in 1998, moved to Connecticut to build a life together.

An incredibly intelligent and determined woman, Michelle excelled at anything she set her mind to. She earned her associate degree as a respiratory therapist and specialized as a sleep technician at the West Haven V.A. Health Center, where she dedicated 25 years to advocating for her patients' well-being. She took their health seriously, ensuring they received the best care possible.
Michelle had a relentless curiosity and loved taking on new challenges. Whether it was jewelry making, locksmithing, earning her D.C. electronics permit, or woodworking, she was always eager to learn something new. She and her wife shared a love for travel, visiting friends and family, but she also cherished quiet days at home, curled up with their beloved dogs. An avid animal lover, she never met an animal she didn’t adore.
