Milford 10U All Star Softball Team in East Regional Final Four

The Milford Little League 10U District All Star softball team moved to 3-0 in Pool Play with a convincing 9-2 win over Vermont on Tuesday at the Eastern Regionals in Wilkes Barre, Pa.

Milford jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead with Madyson Bull and Kelsea Flanagan drawing 1-out walks. Brianna Madelung loaded the bases for Lauren Worzel who laced an RBI single off the pitcher's glove making it 2-0 Milford. Madelung would follow with a steal of home increasing the lead to 3-0.

In the Milford 2nd, Erika Fabian lead off with a walk and stole her way around the bases making it 4-0 Milford after 2 after Madyson Bull struck out the side.

Kelsea Flanagan led off the 3rd and pinch-runner Kaitlyn Dzialo stole third base. Lauren Worzel followed with an RBI double and Caitlyn Murphy and RBI single making it 6-0 after 3 innings.

Milford would tack on 2 more runs in the 4th highlighted by runs scopred by Fabian and Bull. Vermont would respond in their half of the 4th with a pair of runs closing the lead to 8-2. Milford would go on to win 9-2.

Milford now 16-0 on the season advances to the Eastern Regional Final Four on Thursday and will face the winner of Pennsylvania and New York at 1:00 pm.
