Milford 10U All Star Softball Team Top RI At East Regional
Come From Behind Win Moves Record to 2-0
Milford LL 10U District All Stars stole the lead late and defeated Rhode Island 4-3 on Sunday in game 2 of pool play at the Eastern Regional in Wilkes Barre, PA.
The game was tied at 3 with Milford LL 10U District All Stars batting in the bottom of the fifth when Madyson Bull led off with a double and would score on Avery Falco’s RBI single. Brianna Madelung then laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring Falco with the go-ahead run.
In the first inning, Rhode Island got their offense started when Rhode Island scored one run on a single and steal of home.
Madyson Bull led the Milford LL 10U District All Stars to victory in the pitcher's circle. She surrendered three runs on five hits over six innings, striking out 14.
Sarah Donegan, Madyson Bull, and Avery Falco each managed one hit to lead Milford LL 10U District All Stars. Milford LL 10U District All Stars stole 17 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. Madyson Bull led the way with four. Milford LL 10U District All Stars was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
Milford 2-0 in pool play will next take on Vermont Tuesday morning.
