MILFORD, CT — The following information has been provided by the Milford Police Department and does not indicate convictions:
A Milford man was arrested Dec. 29 and charged with cruelty to animals. He is accused of picking up his dog by the neck and punching the animal in the face during a breach of peace incident at a residence. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
Two women, one from New Haven and the other from West Haven, were arrested Dec. 23 and charged with sixth-degree larceny. They are accused of stealing $496.32 worth of merchandise from Target on Boston Post Road. Both were released on a promise to appear in court.

A Stratford man was arrested Dec. 23 and charged with evading responsibility. Police said he was operating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash the night before and later stopped by officers. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
A New Haven man was arrested Dec. 23 and charged with fifth-degree larceny and possession of a controlled substance. He is accused of stealing $1,205.87 worth of merchandise from Boscov’s on Boston Post Road and was also found in possession of cocaine. He was released on a promise to appear in court.

A Greenwich man was arrested Dec. 29 on two warrants and charged with two counts of violation of probation. Police encountered him during a motor vehicle stop involving a stolen license plate. Bond was set at $50,000.
A Milford man was arrested Dec. 30 on a warrant and charged with violation of probation. He was taken into custody at police headquarters. Bond was set at $100,000.
