MILFORD, CT — A Milford man was held on $250,000 bond for a domestic violence incident May 11, police said.

He is accused of hitting a female victim repeatedly, causing physical injury. He also threw her to the ground as she was trying to leave, according to police.

The man was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, and unlawful restraint.

He was held on $250,000 bond and given a court date of May 13.

Milford police also made the following arrests recently:

• Police took custody of a Bridgeport man May 9 on an active warrant for his arrest out of Fairfield. He was charged with failure to respond. Bond was set at $2,500
• Police took custody of a Branford man May 9. He was charged with violation of a protective order. Bond was set at $2,500.
• Police took custody of a Milford woman on an active arrest warrant. She is accused of hitting a family member in the head and resisting arrest. She was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer. Bond was set at $7,500.
• Police responded to a domestic dispute May 9. A Milford woman is accused of hitting a victim multiple times and throwing his belongings across a room. She was charged with disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $2,500.
• Police responded to a domestic dispute May 9. A Milford man is accused of pulling a victim's hair and grabbing her during an argument. He was charged with disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $2,500.
• Police took custody of a Milford woman on an arrest warrant May 10. She was accused of causing a disturbance and yelling profanities at West Shore Middle School on May 1. She also refused to leave the premises after staff told her to leave multiple times. She was charged with first-degree criminal trespassing and breach of peace. She was released on a promise to appear in court.
• A Milford man was taken into custody May 10 for a past domestic violence incident. He was accused of shoving a family member during a verbal argument. He was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a promise to appear in court.
• Police took custody of a homeless man May 11 on an active arrest warrant. The man was charged with second-degree failure to appear in court. Bond was set at $10,000.
• Police took custody of a New Haven man May 11 on an active arrest warrant. He was charged with violation of probation. Bond was set at $10,000.
• Police responded to the Target at 1191 Boston Post Road on a report of a shoplifter in custody May 11. The West Haven woman was accused of stealing $300 worth of merchandise from the store. She was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released on a promise to appear in court.
• Police responded to the Red Roof Inn on a report of a domestic violence incident May 13. An East Haven man is accused of throwing an ironing board at the victim during a verbal argument. He was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a promise to appear in court.
