Milford Arts Council Announces Annual Student Arts & Crafts Show

MAC Receiving Student Artwork on Thursday, March 26th 10-6 PM

Milford Students in Grades K-12 from public, parochial, private and home schools are invited to submit Arts and Crafts to exhibit in the annual Student Show, April 1-April 30, 2015 at the Center for the Arts, 40 Railroad Avenue, Milford. Artwork can include pieces that were completed at school or home. The show has an open theme and all mediums are welcome (Paintings, Drawings, Mixed Media, Photography, Graphic Design, Sculpture, Crafts,etc.). 1-2 pieces per student may be submitted. Prizes generously provided by Milford Pediatric Group, P.C., will be awarded for each grade level (High School, Middle School, 3-5, K-2). Prize winners will be invited to additionally exhibit their artwork at the Milford Pediatric Group’s Offices for the Month of May. The Milford Arts Council will be receiving work on Thursday, March 26th 10-6 PM at the Center for the Arts. A Reception and Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 30th 6-8 PM at the Center for the Arts.

Artist Eligibility & Information:

Artist Entry Fee: $1 per piece.

Only original artwork will be accepted.

All work should be framed and wired and/or ready to hang.

(Work that is simply matted is acceptable).

Items must not exceed 36” x 24” in measurement or 50lbs in weight.

Sculpture and 3 dimensional pieces are welcome but must include stand

for display as space is limited.

Art can be taken home after Reception on April 30, 2015.

The Milford Arts Council Arts & Crafts Show is not affiliated with the City of Milford/Board of Education Art Show held at Parson’s Government Center. Students who are submitting work to the City of Milford/Board of Education Art Shows must submit different pieces to the Milford Arts Council show.
