Milford Assessor Dan Thomas Named Employee of the Month

CONGRATULATIONS to DAN THOMAS, ASSESSOR for being selected as Employee of the Month for November 2014, according to Mayor Benjamin G. Blake in a press release.

As the recipient of the award for the Mayor’s Employee of the Month Program, please join us in extending a warm congratulations to Dan in receiving this recognition.

After a review of all of the nominations, the Selection Committee unanimously selected him as the winner for consistently providing a high level of service in his position as Assessor, which he has held for more than 10 years. Dan began his career with the City of Milford as Assessor on August 30, 2004.

His positions has many demands, which include being responsible for preparing the office budget, compiling the Grand Lists, addressing appeals, defending values in court, assisting the public, and coordinating the office staff. Dan approaches his daily responsibilities with enthusiasm and is readily available to assist with any issues that may arise each day. Milford’s efficient and professional Assessor’s Office is attributed to Dan’s skilled supervision and affable disposition.

Dan’s congenial personality puts both the office staff and members of the public at ease when speaking with him. He is readily available to address any concerns or questions from either the staff or the public. Dan is an attentive listener and thoughtful communicator.

Dan is a consummate professional who is considerate of others and always strives to be fair and equitable. His positive attitude and approachable nature make him a true asset to the City of Milford. These are just a few of the many reasons the Mayor is pleased to bestow this honor on Dan for his outstanding work performance, dedication and continued service to the City of Milford.
