Milford Attorney, Zoning Board Member To Run For State House
Etan Hirsch of Milford announced that he will run as a candidate for the State House of Representatives for the 119th District.
MILFORD, CT — Etan Hirsch, an attorney and Planning and Zoning Commission member, has announced he will run for the State House of Representatives.
The following is a statement from Hirsch announcing his candidacy:
Etan Hirsch of Milford announced today that he will run as a candidate for the State House of Representatives for the 1 119th District. Mr. Hirsch, a Democrat, will face incumbent Republican Kathy Kennedy, who recently announced she will seek her fourth term. The 1 19th District encompasses a large section of Milford and a part of Orange.

Mr. Hirsch has represented Milford's First District on the city's Planning and Zoning Commission since being elected in 2021. Prior to that election, he served for four years as a Commissioner on the Milford Zoning Board of Appeals.
Mr. Hirsch is a partner at the personal injury and medical malpractice law firm of Hirsch Andrade, LLP, with offices in Bridgeport and Danbury.

"I am excited to be running for State Representative and look forward to improving the economic standing of the Milford and Orange communities and the State of Connecticut. My entire professional career has been devoted to fighting for my clients' rights, including against billion-dollar corporations. This experience will translate well in my legislative service in Hartford."
Mr. Hirsch's campaign will focus on issues of economic development, small business needs, environmental sustainability, women's rights, education, and insurance.
"A stable, regulated free-market system is essential to improving our lives and those of our families. The majority of issues that we face revolve around economic and fiscal policy. I look forward to working with all stakeholders towards tackling the difficult matters facing my District and our State."
