Milford Business of Compassion Campaign Kicks off This Weekend
The charter pledges to promote compassion and kindness, going beyond personal differences.

Local businesses will have the opportunity to apply to become a “Milford Business of Compassion”, the Milford Mirror reports.
The City of Milford signed a Charter for Compassion in September to honor Maren Sanchez, the Jonathan Law High School student who was stabbed to death in April.
Milford resident Jade Ramos brought the charter to the city along with help from Donna Cimarelli, Maren Sanchez’s mother, the paper reports.

According to the paper, businesses may participate in the charter by doing random acts of kindness and will receive a window sign stating that they are “committed to compassion in Milford.”
The campaign kicks off on Oct. 25 with Papa’s Pizza in Milford being the first business to make a commitment to compassion. According to the paper, Papa’s Pizza created the Pizza Di Maren and will donate $5 of every Pizza Di Maren purchased to the Maren Sanchez Scholarship Fund.
