The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it. *
My top priority will be to crack down on predatory developers and overdevelopment. Currently, our state's broken affordable housing law allows for predatory developers to bypass local zoning regulations for monetary gain. If elected, I will uphold -- and fight to extend -- our city's moratorium on the harshest elements of Connecticut's affordable housing law. I will also work diligently with state leaders to ensure that there is a permanent fix to our state's broken affordable housing law.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? *
We need leaders who can get the job done for us, from helping create jobs to maintaining our city's culture. I am the only candidate running for this office with experience in making government work for both business and the community.
List other issues that define your campaign platform:
If elected, I’ll lead the charge against predatory developers and overdevelopment. I will also steer development to areas where it makes sense to build -- and away from our neighborhoods and public lands that we need to preserve.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
With significant private sector experience, I began my career in corporate communications before opening a Milford-based small business. As a civic leader, I've served as a senior adviser to several elected officials, including two mayors, helping to spearhead the economic rebounds for two of Connecticut's largest cities.
The best advice ever shared with me was ...
Wise men speak because they have something to say. Fools speak because they have to say something.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
Milford is a great place to live, work, and play. And our city's best days are ahead of us. It's why my wife and I have been proud to call Milford home for the better part of a decade.
We can make our city an even better place in the future by cracking down on predatory developers and overdevelopment, and by steering development to places where it makes sense to build -- and away from our neighborhoods and public lands that we need to preserve.
Here's the bottom line: I will always do what's right for our community.
By working together, we'll help make Milford better every single day.
