The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it. *

Borrowing and bonding too much! Our debt has nearly doubled in recent years. And this has to be paid back with interest.

Borrow only for critical needs; Major infrastructure and schools.

And work hard to pay down accumulated debt.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? *

I have extensive experience and expertise in management, construction, health care, finance, investments.

I have a proven track record and ability to manage people successfully.

I plan on maintaining an open door policy where people can freely come in to the Mayor's office and express their concerns for Milford.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:

1. We need to do more to attract and retain good businesses. There are way too many empty store fronts. A goal of mine would be to streamline the approval and permitting process, and be more business friendly. This is critical going forward because the business climate in CT extremely challenging.

2. Repaving roads, address the shoreline flooding (long overdue) and maintain critical infrastructure.

3. Managing health care costs, our largest city expense (after payroll). Focus on prevention and wellness rather than sick care! All major corporations do this, and save a fortune, so can Milford.

4. Transparency - The cornerstone of good government. Most taxpayers want to know where their hard earned tax dollars are being spent.

5. Practice Fiscal Responsibility. Use sound budgeting principals and properly fund our employee pension fund and health plans.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have been serving on the Milford Board of Alderman for 10 years. I serve on the Public Works committee and Liaison to the Pension Board and Planning and Zoning Board.

I have been a successful business owner in Milford for 35 years. I do consulting work with all types of business in town. I get what business owners want and need to survive.

I talk with a countless number of residence in town as they share their wishes and concerns for Milford not only now but well into the future.

I am a problem solver; I do my research, consult with experts, and analyze the data before making any major decision. Something that has served me well over the years.

The best advice ever shared with me was ...

Dad taught me ... Do it right, the first time!
Jack LaLanne ... Eat Right and Exercise!

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I love Milford, been here for 57 years and I am not going anywhere.

I am an athlete and coach and Milford High graduate, where I was a 2 X Wrestling State Champion.
I am a member of the Milford Camber of Commerce, Milford Rotary, BNI, MPC.

I have a passion for Health & Wellness, the Environment and Going Green!

I enjoy running, hiking, the beach, traveling, and working in the yard.

Let's make this town look amazing, improve beatification, pave the roads and protect our 17 miles of shoreline. Let's preserve this beautiful old community and put an end to all the affordable housing (8-30g) developments in our quaint neighborhoods, and save our old trees that add beauty and value to the town.

I'd like to see Milford thriving 10, 20 50 years from now and not drowning in debt and pension obligations like the State of CT.

Let's make Milford an amazing place to Live, Work, Play and Invest!
