Milford Chamber Of Commerce To Host Annual Women’s Leadership Summit
The theme for the summit later this month is "Moving Forward Together: Women Educating & Inspiring Generations."

MILFORD, CT – The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC), with the generous support of Optimum and in collaboration with the Network of Executive Women, is proud to present the annual Women’s Leadership Summit on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Bin 100 Restaurant, located at 100 Lansdale Ave, Milford, CT.
This year’s theme, "Moving Forward Together: Women Educating & Inspiring Generations," celebrates Women’s History Month by bringing together a distinguished panel of state and regional leaders in education. The summit will highlight the remarkable achievements of women shaping our communities, industries, and future leaders.

Featured Panelists:
- Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz – A dedicated advocate for women, small businesses, and veterans, Lt. Governor Bysiewicz has played a pivotal role in job creation and economic development across Connecticut. She has championed policies that support women and children and led initiatives addressing the opioid crisis.
- Dorinda Borer – Mayor of West Haven, former four-term state representative, and a passionate advocate for education. Mayor Borer has served as PTA president, Board of Education member, and founder of the West Haven Early Childhood Development Commission.
- Charlene M. Russell-Tucker – Commissioner of the Connecticut State Department of Education, with over 20 years of experience advocating for students’ social, emotional, and academic success. She has served in various leadership roles within the department, focusing on comprehensive student support.
- Dr. Anna Cutaia – Superintendent of Schools for Milford, overseeing instructional programming, personnel management, and daily operations. She actively collaborates with city officials and participates in numerous community initiatives.
- Dr. Colleen Bielitz – Vice President at Southern Connecticut State University, recognized for her work in expanding STEM education access for underrepresented communities. A technology futurist and distinguished academic, she was recently honored with the Stand Up for STEM Mentorship Award by Million Women Mentors.
The discussion will be moderated by the award-winning author and WTNH news anchor, Sarah Cody.
