We see people jumping off the pier all the time. Saturday was not a rare occurrence of people jumping it was definatly a tragedy. When people see it going on all the time it seems as though it is ok to jump off the pier. Hopefully this will deter the children from doing this in the future. More signs are needed. Maybe even a small memorial on the pier for people to stop and think.
Lori G. Chaisson added: "Told my 17 year old daughter this story and she said well u don't jump at low tide...guess she has done it....ughh"

He was a proud husband, son, father, grandfather and friend, he loved unconditionally! I know many use this saying lightly but in Timothy's case he would literally give the shirt off his back if a person needed it. He was a genuine man who could find humor in every situation and was often counted on keeping life grounded for many.
