Milford Cops Say It was a Drug Factory, While Suspect Says He's Allowed to Possess Medical Marijuana

Timothy Yankee, 32, formerly of Milford, had a medical marijuana prescription to legally possess 2 1/2 ounces of marijuana, but when Milford police searched his Field Court house they allegedly found 22 potted marijuana plants, the New Haven Register reports.

Yankee, who now lived in New Haven, says he only had the legal amount at the time of his arrest, but Milford police dispute that claim and say the amount of marijuana in his home was way above the legal limit, the Register’s Ed Stannard reports.

Yankee, who suffers from post traumatic stress, said he moved out of Milford because he’s been in fear ever since his arrest, Stannard reports.
