Milford Declares Snow Emergency

Mayor Blake just delivered a message to residents concerning a powerful weekend storm.

Good evening, this is Ben Blake, Mayor of the City of Milford.

The first significant winter storm of 2019 is expected this weekend with a forecast of snow starting Saturday evening before changing to sleet and freezing rain. The storm's impact will continue into Sunday with cold temperatures, high wind gusts, and the potential for coastal flooding. With icy roads anticipated, driving conditions will be dangerous.

As the City prepares for this storm, a snow emergency has been declared. Off-street parking should be utilized whenever possible and in areas where it is necessary to park in the road, Alternate Side of the Street Parking will be in effect beginning at 6:00pm Saturday night and continuing until 6:00am on Monday, January 21st.
