Milford Educator Hired as Orange's New Schools Superintendent
The Milford educator has been a middle school and elementary school principal.

West Shore Middle School Principal Vince Scarpetti has been named the next schools superintendent in Orange, the Connecticut Post reports.
Scarpetti spent seven years at West Shore in Milford and previously he was the principal at Pumpkin Delight School.
“It is truly an honor to have served the children and families of the Milford school district for the past 11 years,’’ he told the Connecticut Post adding that leaving was a difficult decision.

Scarpetti replaces former Orange schools superintendent Lynn McMullin who took a job elsewhere.
The Orange Board of Education hired Michael Nast in December 2014 to serve as the Interim superintendent through June.

McMullin was hired to become the new schools superintendent in Litchfield in 2014, and earned a salary of $163,000. She had spent 3 years in Orange.
The Orange school board set a date of July 1 to hire a new superintendent.
