Milford Family Speaks Out About Alleged Sexual Assault of a 91-Year-Old Relative
The alleged abuse occurred in a Seymour assisted living facility and involves a 97-year-old suspect.
A Milford family is speaking out about the alleged abuse of a relative who is 91-years-old, while living at the Smithfield Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Seymour.
According to court records obtained by News 12, Nicholas Minuto, 97, of Seymour, has been charged in November with fourth-degree sexual assault of the 91-year-old resident.
Ann Wayne, of Milford, who is related to the victim, said the victim can’t speak, which is why she believes the abuse went on for a period of time, News 12 reports.

Wayne and her family have since moved the victim from the Seymour facility back to Milford.
A representative of Smithfield Gardens told News 12 they are in the process of evicting Minuto.
