Milford Firefighters Cut Veteran's Lawn After Responding to Call
Firefighters cut a veteran's grass after his wife broke her ankle.

MILFORD, CT- Members of the Milford Fire Department finished cutting the grass of a Vietnam War veteran after responding to a call.
A neighbor shared the picture on the Milford Fire Department Facebook page.
Firefighters from Quint 3 had originally responded to take care of a woman who broke her ankle, said Battalion Chief Anthony Fabrizi.

The crew then recognized the woman's husband was wearing a t-shirt and hat that indicated he was a military veteran. Yard work was incomplete and firefighters offered to finish for him before leaving the scene.
“We simply wanted to do something good for the Veteran, so that he may return home to find the work complete, and focus the attention on his wife," said Lt, AJ Murphy.
