New Details Released In Milford Apartment Fire: UPDATE
The Milford Red Cross was on scene to assist displaced residents, fire officials said.

MILFORD, CT — Quick work by Milford firefighters prevented a fire from spreading to adjacent apartment units Tuesday evening. At 7:22 PM, Milford Fire Dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting heavy smoke on the second floor of an apartment complex located at 1060 New Haven Ave.
Milford firefighters arrived in three minutes and found an apartment complex with an active fire venting out of a second floor window, said Battalion Chief Anthony Fabrizi. The flames were at risk of extending into the apartment above in addition to the attic space, Fabrizi said.
Firefighters went inside and worked to bring the blaze under control very quickly. The fire was confined to the second floor apartment although smoke and water damage affected other units within the structure, fire officials said.
