Milford Firefighters Rescue Dog 500 Feet Off Shore
A dog and two paddleboarders were taken to shore Wednesday.
MILFORD, CT —Milford firefighters helped rescue a dog that was about 500 feet offshore near Trumbull Avenue Wednesday.
Three swimmers with a paddle board and dog were in the water when firefighters arrived, according to Milford Professional Firefighters. The dog and two swimmers were taken to shore aboard the fire department's Marine 2 boat, while the third swimmer brought the paddle board to shore.
The dog and swimmers weren't injured.
