Milford Flooding Problem to Be Solved by Drainage Project
Flooding on Naugatuck Avenue has been an ongoing problem, some say, for 50 years.

Flooding on Naugatuck Avenue near Bridgeport Avenue in Milford might be a thing of the past.
According to an article in the Milford Mirror, Milford’s Board of Aldermen approved bonding Wednesday in the amount of $3.7 million for the construction of a drainage project in the city.
The funding will be reimbursed by the state and federal government, said Mayor Ben Blake.

The Mirror said the project will take 230 working days and will include chambers in the ground that are designed to slow and clean water before it reaches the river.
