The doctor did not contest the allegations made in the complaint by her patient.

The State Medical Examining Board has fined Milford gynecologist Dr. Judith Faulkner $5,000 for not meeting the standard of care by not examining a patient who had severe lower abdominal pain, reports the Connecticut Health I-Team’s Kate Farrish.
The patient came to see Faulkner and was told to take a laxative by a nurse but she ended up needed emergency surgery to remove a twisted ovary just two days later, according to the report.
The woman was in so much pain that she couldn’t even walk, the report states. The woman’s surgeon said she could have died if she didn’t have the emergency procedure.
