MILFORD, CT — Joseph A. Foran, Jonathan Law and The Academy high schools will go to full distancing learning as of Monday Nov. 16 through Jan. 8, 2021 due to increased coronavirus infections in the community.

The switch to remote learning for the high schools will allow staff to be deployed to Pre-K-8 school buildings in an effort to keep them open to in-person learning for as long as possible.

Elementary and middle schools will continue with their current schedule, but will have a full distance week following the Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks.

"There has been an increased need for staff members to quarantine or isolate as a public health measure to assure the well-being of our school community," Superintendent Anna Cutaia wrote in a letter to school families Nov. 10. "This has drastically reduced the number of adults available to instruct our students. We simply are running out of available adults to be in our schools."
