Milford Looks To Address Ongoing 'Safety' Issue

The application is pending before the city's Inland Wetlands Commission.

MILFORD, CT — The city of Milford is looking to undertake a road widening project in an effort to address ongoing safety concerns.

The city of Milford is seeking approval from the Inland Wetlands Commission to widen a portion of Flax Mill Lane. The city is proposing to pipe 170 linear feet of Flax Mill Brook. Wetlands are on the property.

Plans call for two trees and a pole to be removed. Portions of the road are breaking up and it is an unsafe shoulder, officials said. If approved, the project would occur in the fall.
