Milford Makes Decision On School For Wednesday

Another nor'easter is expected to have significant impacts on the area today.

All Milford Public and Parochial Schools will have an early dismissal on Wednesday, March 21 with no afternoon Special Education Preschool classes scheduled. “If you have a child in an after-school program, the childcare program will be closed. All after-school activities/programs, including Adult Education are canceled. Early dismissal for your school is 2 hours prior to the regular end time,” officials announced.

A nor'easter is expected to bring up to a foot of snow to the area today. The snow should be at its heaviest this afternoon and evening before it tapers off around midnight.

This is the fourth straight nor'easter Connecticut has seen over the past month. Power outages are expected to be less of a concern this time because while winds may gust to 30-35 mph at times, it won't approach the strength of previous storms.
