Milford Man Breaks Into Popular Downtown Bakery: Police

The accused is being held in lieu of a $45,000 bond.

MILFORD, CT — A Milford man, Christopher Carr, 27, of Hickory Lane, is being held in lieu of a $45,000 bond after he is accused of breaking into Scratch Bakery at 84 Broad Street, police said.

On Oct. 2, police arrested Carr on a warrant for the burglary which occurred on Aug. 28, police said. He is charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal mischief.

According to online court records, Carr pleaded guilty in 2018 to one count of illegal possession of a shoplifting device. Also in 2018, he pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal trespass and sixth-degree larceny.

On Jan. 6 and Jan. 8, Carr pleaded guilty to a sixth-degree larceny charge, according to court records. On Jan. 10, Carr pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal trespass and fifth-degree larceny.

He was arrested on July 14 and is charged with sixth-degree larceny. That case is still pending.
