Milford Man Charged With Assault, Strangulation: Police
Police say the accused caused the woman pain and caused her to lose her breath.

MILFORD, CT — A Milford man is accused of assaulting and strangling a female victim, police said. On August 5, officers responded to a Milford residence on a report of an alarm, police said.
After the officers' arrived they heard yelling from the rear of the residence, police said. Investigation led to the arrest of Gerald Lawrence, 38, of Bryan Hill Road, who is accused of placing his hands around the neck of a female causing her loss of breath and then pushing the female around inside the residence causing her pain, police said.
He is charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and strangulation, and violation of a protective order. He was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
