Milford Man Exposed Himself to a Bus Full of Young Children: State Police

State Police said Thursday that on August 19 at 7:49 p.m., Troopers from Troop G – Bridgeport were dispatched to the Interstate 95 northbound Milford Rest Area for a report of a man exposing himself to children while driving.

Upon arriving on scene and conducting an investigation, Troopers learned that the male suspect, Robert M. Watts, 51, of Charles Street, drove alongside a coach bus filled with 11-13 year old children while allegedly exposing himself and looking at them as he masturbated, police said.

After speaking to witnesses and obtaining evidence, Troopers were able to identify the suspect. Upon completing their investigation, Troopers applied for an arrest warrant for the suspect which was granted by Milford Superior Court.

On Wednesday, September 2 Troopers located the suspect and took him into custody. The suspect was transported to Troop G for processing and was held on bond pending his court appearance.

Watts is charged with impairing the morals of children, breach of peace and public indecency.

He is held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
